In companies like Hyundai, Maruthi, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland etc. uses the following software.
- For component preparation and modelling SolidWorks, CATIA, Pro/E
- For stress and fracture analysis and thermal analysis ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, Altair HyperWorks etc.
- For Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis and simulation ANSYS CFX, ANSYS FLUENT, STARCD, STAR CCM+ etc. (See my post on CFD software and learning resources for more info)
- There are some software which can be implemented for particular application using FEA/FEM techniques. Learning these techniques will help in getting job with wonderful package.
