 6.         for OBC students
                                The central government of India is granting pre-metric and post-metric   scholarships to help the poor OBC students.
                                Pre-metric scholarships:
a.       Family income should not exceed Rs.44,500 per year.
b.      Pre-metric scholarship is sanctioned from 1st class (for day-scholars)/ 3rd class (for residential students) to their X class.
c.       Scholarship is sanctioned for 10 months per year only.
d.      For residential students 3-8 classes à 200 rupees per month
e.      For residential students 9-10 classes à 250 rupees per month
f.        For day scholars 1-5 classes à Rs.25 per month, 6-8 classes à Rs.40 per month, 9-10 classes à Rs.50 per month.
g.       Additional to the above for both residential and day-scholars Rs.500 will be granted as Ad-hoc grant.

7.       Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (For SC, ST candidates)
a.       University Grants Commission is granting 2000 fellowships for SC, 667 fellowships for ST candidates as Rajiv Gandhi national Fellowship
b.      Students studying M.Phil./PhD in Science, engineering, technology, Humanities, social sciences can apply for this fellowship.
c.       Students should have passes their PG and have joined for PhD/M.Phil.
d.      Based on the merit students will be selected.
e.      Students should apply online only.
f.        Last date of application is July 12 this year.

8.       KC Mahindra education trust
a.       Education loan without interest
To encourage students to study PG abroad. The student should have passed degree/equivalent course with first class. Notification is given every January. They should have got admission in some university abroad.
b.      Mahindra search for Talent scholarship
It is started in 1983. It is given to students who got top marks in Annual exams. If a student got selected more than once for this scholarship, he will be given Rs.5000 and Honor Scholarship
c.       Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship
To encourage economically backward student to study Polytechnic in Government Colleges. The students should have passed X/XII. They should have joined in a government polytechnic college. They will be given Rs.10000 per year.

9.       Fair and Lovely scholarship (for ladies only)
a.       For the girl students pursuing their Graduation/post-graduation/PhD.
b.      Scholarship will be sanctioned based on their economic background.
c.       They should have got at least 60% in their 10 and 10+2 standard.
Application procedure:
1.       Marks lists, 2 passport size photographs, income certificate, admission letter Xerox copy and an essay saying about the course studying.
2.       Application form should be downloaded from online and attaching the above particulars, send it to below address.

10.     For the physically challenged
National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) is granting scholarships for the handicapped students.
Scholarship benefits:
Ø  Totally 1000 scholarships are available for the students of degree/post-graduation in recognized institutions.
Ø  For the students doing graduation in government/Govt-aided institutions Rs. 2,500 is sanctioned monthly for ten months. And for post-graduation students Rs. 3000 is paid.
Ø  For books and stationery purposes graduation students will get 6000 rupees per year and post-graduate students will get 10,000 rupees per year.
Ø  For those who are crippled with eye/ear problems, the required amount will be sanctioned.
Ø  Annual income of the family should not exceed 300,000 rupees.
Application:
Application should be sent, filled up online. It can be applied throughout the year.
