Protsahan Yojana)
a.
For the students who aspire research in the field
of science and technology,
Department of Science and Technology (India) is giving this
scholarship.
b.
The notification is usually released on May 11
or on second Sunday of July every year.
c. Renewal: if the student has got first class marks,
the fellowship will have been continued.
d. Application: there is different application
for each stream. The students can apply
online. They should pay Rs.500 as chalan as a
processing fee.

NCERT National Talent Search Exam
a.
The main motto behind this is to encourage
learning capabilities of students. It is started in 1963
b.
Exam will be conducted in science, social
sciences, engineering, medicine, management, law. For the selected candidates scholarships
is given monthly.
c.
Those who are continuing studies in Basic sciences,
sciences and commerce courses up to PhD and those who are continuing their
studies in Engineering, medicine, management and law up to PG level will get
this scholarship.
d. For
each group 1000 scholarships will be given. The selected students will get
Rs.500 monthly as per NTS rules.
e. Reservation: SC-15%, ST-7.5%, PH candidates – 3%
f.
Qualification:
the candidates should be studying VIII class in recognized schools.
g. Selection criterion: there are two stages in this exam. In the
first stage the exam will be on Mental ability,
Academic capability (maths, science, social studies).
It is conducted at state level. The next exam will also be on same topics but
it is conducted by NCERT.
h. Application: notification is released every June. The filled
applications should be sent before last week of August. Applications are
available in website.

Balika Samriddhi Yojana (BSY)
a.
it is applicable to all
girls born after 15 August 1997. At maximum to girls from a family will get
benefited by this. This is applicable to both rural and urban people. The funds
are released by central government of India.
b.
Scholarship:
Rs.500 will be given at the time of
birth of baby. From 1 to 10 class some amount is
deposited in her bank account. After getting 18 years of age she can withdraw
the amount from the bank submitting required certificates. The amount of

c. Application: applications are available at Village/Field
officer for the rural/urban girls. Filling the application and attaching 1) birth certificate 2)
income certificate, the forms should be submitted at Panchayat.
4. Pre-metric scholarships (for minorities
only)
a. Started
by central government in July 2006 for the development of minority candidates.
b. Eligibility criteria: for students of I-X class. They should be
studying in government recognized private/government schools. They should have
got at least 50% marks in their previous class. The family income should not
exceed Rs.100,000 per year.

5. Post-metric scholarships (for minorities
only)
a. Applicable for the students belonging to
minority groups, who is pursuing his/her post-metric courses in
private/government. And also for them who is pursuing occasional courses.
b. Students
should have got at least 50% marks in their previous course.
c. Family
income should not exceed Rs.200000 per year.
d. 30%
scholarships are reserved for girl students. If they are not eligible the scholarships
will be granted to boys.
